British artist Kieran Stiles was born in 1970 and studied at Falmouth School of Art (1989-92). He works from his studio on Folly Bridge Island, Oxford, but the colours, shapes and changing light of the Cornish coast and the Scilly Isles continue to inform and inspire his work.

These evocative images fizzle with life and electric colour. Each work is a painterly expression of an individual and particular sense of place. Layers of oil paint are superimposed with fractured marks, dashes and splatters that capture the spirit of a continually changing landscape.
