Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1965 alongside Zandra Rhodes, Ossie Clark and David Hockney, Ed Gilbert has enjoyed an illustrious and multi-faceted career in the arts. Working across the realms of architecture, garden and interior design, and fine art, Gilbert worked with some of the biggest names of the 20th Century, taking him around the world with clients ranging from Cecil Beaton to NASA and the Marquess of Bath.

Inspired by the rolling hills of his Wiltshire home, as well as the places he has visited and worked in over the years. As Daisy Bridgewater says, “Drawing on his wild and varied past experiences, Gilbert applies his restless visual flare and obsession with colour and form to the study of remembered and present landscapes and flowers.”
