British artist Janie Patterson trained at the Slade School of Fine Art from 1973-77. Her paintings are characterised by bright, vibrant colours which give them a great feeling of airiness. A talented draughtswoman as well as colourist, her subject matter ranges from intimate interiors and still lifes to landscapes and seascapes, all rendered with a deft, light yet bold touch.
