Eileen Hogan: Personal Geographies
Edited by Elisabeth Fairman, with essays by Hogan, Duncan Robinson, Roderick Conway Morris, Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, and Sarah Victoria Turner.
A fully illustrated book that accompanied the exhibition at Yale Center for British Art. Gardens and portraiture are dominant subjects throughout, inspired by London’s private squares and poet Ian Hamilton Finlay’s Little Sparta in Edinburgh, as well as an interest in capturing Finlay’s expression when being recorded.
